A private party or wedding is an entirely inidividual occasion. Our experience in planning and organisation provides complete peace of mind for any event, with a style and atmosphere which reflects the wishes of the guest.

The Beetle & Wedge Boathouse offers a wonderful setting on the banks of the River Thames - magnificent food, delicious wines and true hospitality offer a perfect backdrop for an outstanding occasion.

The Boathouse can accommodate various party sizes up to 80 guests - depending on numbers it is possible to have a large oval table or round tables according to size. If you prefer a cocktail style party or reception we can serve inspirational and substantial canapes which are delicious and exciting.

A special feature of the Boathouse is that even larger groups may be offered a choice of menu which need not be pre-ordered. This may be selected from the range of dishes on our A La Carte menu or suggested menus which offer a wide variety reflecting your tastes and preferences.

Boats, musicians, flowers, a magician, balloons, fireworks and celebration cakes or desserts can be arranged.

To make a reservation it is important to have seen the Beetle & Wedge Boathouse and discussed the style and content of your party or reception so that you are confident that we will provide the occasion you envisage, that the costings are in line with your budget and that the facilities are appropriate.

Initially a provisonal reservation should be made for the date you require. A period will be agreed during which meetings are held and a final decision made, which if in favour leads to confirmation in writing with a deposit to secure the date.
